Are we making ourselves prone to subjugation and stigmatism? Or are we speaking openly and honestly with Men who may not see themselves in popular profiles of (positive) masculinity & fatherhood? Therefore, within this context and for the audience we write, the answer is YES, the name stays!
Lastly & most importantly, this conversation gives us a medium to redefine the narrative of fatherhood, add a voice long missing from the conversation of parenting - particularly fatherhood in the African-American community, and perhaps, change the negative stereotypes to the world.
